Abstract :
There is increasing recognition in the government sector internationally of the need to improve policy-making to respond to new challenges and threats facing culture.
Recognising the diverse nature of development in Asia-Europe, the Asia-Europe Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, Thailand, in cooperation with International Intelligence on Culture and Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, organised the Asia Europe Seminar on Cultural Policy o24-27 June 2004 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The final results of the seminar will be of benefit for future cultural policy planning, and provide solid ground for further Asia-Europe networking and close cultural cooperation.
