Abstract :
The ASEAN Heritage parks programme fits in precisely with this international consensus. It demonstrates a unique mechanism whereby governments at the regional level, through the intergovernmental framework, could establish regional representative systems. Most essential of all, is the need for concerned and sustained efforts to conserve these protected areas. This publication, the ASEAN Heritage Parks Conference among others, is meant to disseminate, attract interest, invite collaboration, and to synergize our efforts for this purpose.
