Abstract :
Keeping in mind that herbal medicine has already been used in the community from one generation to the next generation, the research guideline will try to pay attention not only to eficacy research, but also the usage pattern research.
This guidelines covers the essential principles of research methodology on herbal medicines as part of Traditional Medicine (TM). As the document only covers the essential principles, each ASEAN Member State can or should further elaborate the document in order to adjust with their needs and local context based on their unique traditional medicine and their regulations.
