Growth Triangles in Asia | Subtitle : A New Aproach to Regional Economic Cooperation
Abstract : The "growth triangle" is a form of regional economic cooperation that has gained rapid acceptance in Asia during the past decade, bringing together the resources of three countries to collectively foster economic development among each of them. Focusing on three such triangles--in southern China; on the borders of Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia; and in the Tumen River Delta on China's northeast border--the papers in this collection define, explore, and debate the issues surrounding the establishment of such entities. They also make informed predictions about the economic potential of growth triangles.
