Abstract :
The first and the third articles of this book, with minor modifications, provide background understanding of economic relationship between Japan and Malaysia, as well as between Japan and ASEAN. The second article, with substantial revision and updating (besides the questionnaire survey results) to incorporate the latest data on Japan-Singapore relationship, analyses Singapore's lopsided trade relationship with Japan, and the substance of Japan's non-tariff barriers encountered by Singapore's manufactures and exporters.
