Abstract :
In recent years, a lot of national and international initiatives on competition law enforcement in developing and transition countries have been formed. These initiatives go well beyond established academic knowledge. This study establishes how competition law implementation works best in developing and transition countries. In particular, it examines how competition law can be introduced so that it suits economic development policy objectives of developing and transition countries. The study is particularly relevant for people who are concerned with competition law implementation, especially for practitioners and researchers at OECD, UNCTAD, WTO, and competition agencies in the developed and developing world.
