Of particular importance in this collection are the pieces forged in the Shan States depicting various incidents in the life of the Buddha as well as the many pieces representing the Buddha in royal attire, herein designated the Jambupati type. Whether the artifacts displayed are narrative scenes, single figures, votive stupas, or house temples we have in this collection the full range of craftsmanship expressing, in various gradients of quality, Burmese Buddhist iconographic.
