Rimba Bidor

Subtitle : A Gift to Nature

Abstract :
In the recent past, few would have associated Bidor with a forest, a town that saw its heyday n the tin industry boom of the early 20th century, and paid for it with e denudation of its natural vegetarian. But, as this coffee table book testifies, restoration and rehabilitation of mining land is possible, of course with the help of nature and us. The main purpose of this coffee-table book is to highlight the development of the forest around Bidor as well as to document the immense efforts to rehabilitate this once barren tin-mining wasteland and turn it into a nature wonderland. This is not a mere coffee-table book, but a testament to historic decision to show how the environment in this country can be ameliorated through proper and effective forestry management practices.
