This ASEAN Gender and Development Framework in Tourism is aligned with the 2030 Agenda
for Sustainable Development, as tourism is one of the industries considered as a driver for job

8, 12 and 14). Clearly tourism contributes in the economic and personal empowerment
especially of women and other vulnerable groups.
